REV2024: Regulatory Reform in Vermont

This interactive session, hosted by Representative Sibila and Senator Bray, will address how we marry state conservation and renewable energy goals. Conference attendees will be able to speak directly to two of the Legislature’s leading decision-makers about their real-world experiences building renewable energy and energy storage projects in Vermont and the regulatory reforms that are needed to ensure we meet our renewable energy mandates.

Speakers


Representative Laura Sibilia

Sibilia has been a State Representative since 2014. Her legislative focus includes telecom, energy, climate change, rural economic development, and education finance. She is also the Director of Regional Economic Development Strategies at the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC), a role she has held since 2017. Her work includes leading the development of the Southern Vermont Economic Development Zone CEDS and advising on regional community and economic development strategies.

Senator Christopher Bray

Bray became a member of the Vermont House of Representatives in January 2007, and the Vermont Senate in 2013, where he serves as Chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee. Bray is the founder Common Ground Communications, which provides writing, editing and production services to technical clients and the book publishing industry. He is also a carpenter and painter.
