RJ Carignan has been the trusted insurance partner of both local and national companies for almost 90 years.  We are a family-owned business with exceptional employees on our team who understand renewables.  One of our key employees holds her MERL (Masters in Energy Regulation Law) from Vermont Law School. She also has extensive experience working for a hydroelectric plant in Upstate New York.  She knows the hydro business inside and out.

We have created individualized programs for all facets of renewable energy risks. Our current renewable energy clients include large and small hydro plants, both independent and inclusive of municipal risks, as well as numerous local and national wind and solar risks, and the various consultants and contractors who support the industry.  It’s our plan to expand our program for hydro/wind/solar power producers and contractors that work for both the small and larger risks.  Of course, that will mean the carriers we use may be different for certain risks, depending on size and type.  We have a quiver of insurance carriers who are eager to work together toward providing a flexible and cohesive insurance option for all types and sizes of renewable energy risks.
