Electrifying Vehicles in Rural States/How State Funding is Impacting Transportation Electrification
Thursday, October 17th, 2024 – 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Transportation pollution is Vermont’s biggest source of carbon emissions so the transition to EV’s is critical to meeting our GHG reduction goals. This session will look at the environmental and economic impacts of Vermont’s dependence on gasoline. We’ll discuss what policy makers, utilities, communities and other stakeholders should be doing to help the market move beyond early adopters, and how data-driven programs can supercharge the environmental, economic, and equity benefits of EV policies and deployment.
