Peter Sterling submitted written testimony to the House Committee on Transportation regarding the importance to electrify Vermont’s transportation sector. In his testimony, Peter stated that the H.522 bill is an important step forward in the substantial public investment needed to meet the Climate Action Plan’s goals of adding 170,000 EVs to Vermont’s roads by 2030. Additionally, he stresses the importance of needing an accurate accounting of where Vermont’s electricity comes from before the sale of renewable energy credits (RECs) under Vermont’s Renewable Energy Standards.
