Job Description
We are seeking a residential photovoltaic draftsperson and specifier who will be part of our corporate engineering team located in Montpelier, VT. Responsibilities include supporting our sales and project managers in the northeast states with design, technical documentation, and drawings for residential solar projects. Primary duties will include preparation of construction drawings, project documentation and submittals, and preparation of a bill of materials for each project. Background in electrical or photovoltaic applications is required along with good skills in CAD drawing or electrical drafting. NABCEP certification is a plus.
Qualifications
- Education: AS or BS in electrical engineering or solar design; relevant work experience will also be considered as part of educational requirement
- Experience: Two or more years working in engineering support or solar installation
- Drafting experience: Proficient with Autocad or MS VISIO
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Team player who listens, learns, and proactively problem solve
